After years of waiting, Hidden Strike, also known as Project X-Traction, finally emerges on Netflix, boasting the talents of Jackie Chan and John Cena. The near-future action film revolves around an attacked Chinese-owned refinery in Iraq, and Chan’s team of mercenaries must save the employees, including his estranged daughter. Meanwhile, Cena’s ex-Marine character seeks vengeance against a terrorist. Although Chan impresses with his stunts, the movie disappoints with its lackluster action scenes and a run-of-the-mill plot, resulting in a forgettable and uninspiring buddy film.
