“Returning to the antics of “Vacation Friends 2,” we follow Marcus and Emily’s decision to invite their wild friends Ron and Kyla on an extravagant Caribbean vacation. However, this sequel falls short of its predecessor’s charm. Despite a capable cast, the film lacks the original’s sparkle and energy. The humor often falls flat, delivering only occasional laughs. A sudden shift towards action in the final act feels awkward and disrupts the flow. The cast, particularly Howery and Cena, maintain their comedic chemistry, but even they can’t fully salvage the film’s shortcomings. “Vacation Friends 2” struggles to justify its existence, resulting in an unnecessary and forgettable addition to the comedy genre.
